Habitat and Location:

 

Sarcochilus hartmanii is a small vandaceous species from the eastern side of Australia. This species grows on vertical rocky slopes and never far from water at elevations up to 1,000 metres.

 

Description:

 

Inflorescences measure 5-20cm and bear many flowers that each measure 1-5-2cm across. Plants bloom during the spring.

 

Care Instructions:

 

Grow Sarcochilus hartmanii warm during the summer and cooler during the winter and grow on a mount or in a pot with medium to coarse bark. If this plant is grown indoors make sure it gets sufficient air movement; the plant should always be grown in high humidity during the warmer months and with reasonable light all year. Never allow the plant to dehydrate completely.
