The orchid features oblong-elliptic to oblong-obovate, compressed pseudobulbs, each crowned by a single apical, linear, attenuate leaf. The inflorescence, measuring 5cm (2 “), bears a single flower with a characteristic oxblood red hue, often adorned with a spotted lip. Notably, yellow colour forms are also known to exist, adding a delightful variation to its captivating display.
