This low-growing, trailing plant is typically found in the humid understory, thriving in the dappled shade of the forest floor, on mossy rocks, or creeping along tree trunks in its natural habitat.

Episcia reptans is known for its lush, thick foliage and vibrant blooms. The leaves are oval-shaped, dark green to reddish-brown, often with a metallic sheen and markings, and have a slightly scalloped edge. The striking blood red, tubular flowers contrast beautifully with the foliage, creating a vivid display. This plant is also characterized by its stoloniferous growth habit, sending out runners that root readily and form new plantlets, making it an excellent ground cover or cascading plant for hanging baskets.

Care Instructions:
