Dendrochilum uncatum is from the Philippines and Taiwan. In the wild this species grows as an epiphyte and lithophyte in montane cloud forest at elevations between 930 - 2,500 metres. Inflorescences measure 10-20 cm, bear many flowers that measures about 8-12 mm across. Plants usually blooms during the winter and spring.

These are flowering size plants growing in pots. Grow Dendrochilum uncatum on a mount, in a pot or in a basket with a sphagnum moss media mixed with bark or perlite. Give your plant moderate light, never direct sunlight and give it a lot of water all year. We grow our plants sitting in trays with a small amount of water. Plants grow well in an intermediate to cool greenhouse and appreciate night-time temperatures of 12-18 degrees and day temperatures of 23 to 30 degrees. This species likes a distinct difference between day and night temperature and cool misty air.
