Description
The canes are bulbous in their lower part and thin in the upper which is also where the plant bears its flowers. The inflorescences are almost non-existent and bear bright red 2-7 flowers and each measure 1cm across.
Cultivation
Grow Dendrobium faciferum on a mount or in a pot with medium sized bark and perlite. Give your plant moderate light and keep it evenly moist all year. Humidity should be 55-75%, increase airflow if higher. Grow plants in warm temperatures with night-time temperatures of 16 - 22 degrees and daytime temperatures of 24 to 33 degrees. Plants grow well indoors in suitable conditions but will only flower if given sufficient light.
