Cymbidium maguanense is a terrestrial or lithophytic orchid species native to the subtropical regions of China, specifically Yunnan Province, around Maguan County, from which it takes its name. It is found growing on rocky cliffs and among shrubs in forested areas at elevations ranging from 1,200 to 1,800 meters, where conditions are cool, moist, and partially shaded.
 
Description:
This species features elegant, narrow, grass-like leaves that arise in a fan-like arrangement from its pseudobulbs. Cymbidium maguanense produces stunning, pendulous inflorescences bearing multiple flowers in shades of yellow-green or greenish-white with a contrasting red or maroon-marked labellum. The flowers are mildly fragrant and long-lasting, making this a sought-after orchid for collectors and enthusiasts.
 
Its compact growth habit and striking blooms make it an excellent choice for both outdoor cultivation in suitable climates and controlled environments such as greenhouses or indoor orchid collections.
