Coelogyne pulchella is a species from China and Myanmar. In the wild this species grows as an epiphyte. Inflorescences bear 5-15 flowers that each measure 2 cm across. Plants bloom in the spring.

This plant is flowering size and is growing in a pot. Grow Coelogyne pulchella in a pot with fine bark mixed with moss. Grow plants in moderate light, and never in direct or bright sunlight. Plants do not like to dry out and need excellent quality water all year. Plants grow well in an intermediate greenhouse and appreciate night-time temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees and daytime temperatures of 26 to 30 degrees. Plants grow well indoors and will flower if given sufficient light and a difference between day and night temperature.
