Coelogyne leucantha is a species from Laos, China, Myanmar, and Vietnam. In the wild this species is a trunk epiphyte or lithophyte in semi deciduous and deciduous forests at elevations between 500 and 1,600 metres. Leaves measure c20 cm. Inflorescences are arching and bear several scented flowers that each measure 1 cm across.

This is a flowering size plant and it is growing in a pot. Grow Coelogyne leucantha on a mount or in a pot with fine bark mixed with moss and perlite. Grow plants in moderate light, and never in direct or bright sunlight. Plants do not like to dry out and need excellent quality water all year. Plants grow well in an intermediate greenhouse and appreciate night-time temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees and daytime temperatures of 26 to 30 degrees. Plants grow well indoors and will flower if given a difference between day and night temperature and sufficient light.
