Coelogyne alboaurantia is from Thailand. Nothing is recorded about the habitat and elevation. The inflorescences measure 10cm and bear 7-10 successively opening flowers. The plant blooms during the spring from the new growth. Flowers measure 2 cm across.
This plant is flowering size and is growing in a pot. Grow Coelogyne alboaurantia on a mount, in a pot or in a basket with a medium and fine bark mix with moss. Grow plants in moderate light, and never direct sunlight. Plants do not like to dry out and need decent quality water. This plant grows well in an intermediate to warm greenhouse and appreciates night-time temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees and daytime temperatures of 25 to 30 degrees. Plants need high humidity making them more amenable for a greenhouse. Plants grow well indoors and will flower if given sufficient light.
