Chelonistele maximae-reginae is a species from Borneo. There is no information recorded about its habit in the wild. Inflorescences measure 12 cm and bear up to a few flowers that each measure 2.5cm across. Plants bloom in the spring and summer.

Grow this species in an intermediate greenhouse and give it night-time temperatures of 14 - 18 degrees and daytime temperatures of 25 to 28 degrees.
