Bulbophyllum lasianthum is from Java, Sumatra, Peninsula Malaysia and Borneo. Found as an epiphyte in shady forest Inflorescences measure c40 cm and produce many flowers, the flowers each measure 1 cm. This species blooms at any time of the year and flowers are unscented. 
 
This plant is flowering size (3-6 leaves) and is growing in a pot. Grow Bulbophyllum lasianthum on very large mount, or in a pot with a medium/fine bark mix and layer of moss. Grow plants in moderate shade, never in direct or bright sunlight and keep them well watered all year. Grow this species in an intermediate greenhouse and give it night-time temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees and daytime temperatures of 26 to 31 degrees. Plants are better suited for a greenhouse but will grow and potentially flower indoors in suitable conditions.
