Bulbophyllum hiepii is an easy to grow species from Sumatra, the Philippines, Borneo, Peninsula Malaysia, and Thailand. In the wild this species is found in lowland and hill forest at elevations between 100-1200 metres. Inflorescences measure 3 cm, bear solitary flowers that measure 1.5 cm across. The plant usually blooms during spring and summer.
Bulbophyllum hiepii should be grown on a mount or in a pot with a media consisting of fine bark, perlite, charcoal and medium bark. Place plants in shade, never in direct sunlight and kept them moist year-round.
