Aerangis mystacidii is from southern Africa. This species is an epiphyte, grows on branches of small trees and often in moss in riverine forest at elevations between 600 and 1,800 metres elevation. Inflorescences measure up to 30 cm and bear 3-25 flowers. Plants bloom during the summer or autumn.
This plant is flowering size and is on a mount. Grow Aerangis mystacidii on a mount, in dense shade, never in bright light and keep it slightly and evenly moist all year but with a wet/dry cycle. This species does not like to dehydrate. Grow in an intermediate to warm greenhouse or terrarium and with night-time temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees and daytime temperatures of 26 to 30 degrees. This species likes a difference between day and night temperature. Plants are better suited for a greenhouse and not for indoors.
