Paphiopedilum micranthum is a species found in China. In the wild this species grows as a lithophyte or terrestrial amongst moss on steep limestone cliffs at elevations between 500 and 1,700 metres. Inflorescences measure up to 25cm and bear a solitary flower that measures 10cm across. Plants bloom during the early spring.

Inflorescences measure up to 25cm and bear a solitary flower that measures 10cm across. Plants bloom during the early spring.

 

This plant is flowering size. Grow Paphiopedilum micranthum in a pot, with shade and keep it evenly moist. This plant grows well in an intermediate to cool greenhouse and will grow well indoors if cool night time temperatures are given.
