Description

Stelis concinna is a species from South America. This species inhabits mountain cloud forest at elevations around 2,000 metres. Inflorescences measure 5cm and bear many flowers. Plants bloom during the spring.

This is a flowering sized plant. Grow Stelis concinna in a pot and use loosely packed sphagnum moss as a media. Make sure plants get sufficient air movement particularly when grown in humidity above 80%; always ensure that humidity is high and give plants moderate to deep shade. Plants need to be grown wet; I grow my Stelis species sitting in a small amount of water or on wet capillary matting. This species grows well in an intermediate to cool greenhouse or indoors in suitable conditions, including, a difference between day and night temperature, air movement and humidity.
