Trichoglottis atropurpurea

Trichoglottis atropurpurea is a sought after species from the Philippines. In the wild this species favours mangroves and lowland forest from sea level to 300 metres. The plant will produce multiple short inflorescences along the stem which each bear 1-2 flowers. The flowers measure 6cm across, have a nice scent and usually bloom during spring and summer.
