Description

Renanthera citrina is a species endemic to Vietnam and is an endangered plant in the wild. In the wild this species is found growing at elevations between 800 and 1,200 metres. Inflorescences measure 15cm and bear 7-10 flowers. Plants bloom during the winter and into early spring.

This is a flowering sized plant and is in a pot. Grow Renanthera citrina on a mount or in a pot with a fine/medium bark mix. Give plants sufficient air movement, high humidity and moderately bright light all year. Never allow plants to dehydrate completely. Grow in a warm greenhouse with night time temperatures of 15- 19 degrees and day time temperatures of 26 to 29 degrees. Plants are better suited for a greenhouse but will grow and potentially flower indoors if given optimum conditions, including warmth and bright light.
