Cattleya perrinii is from Brazil. In the wild this species inhabits elevations between 700 and 900 metres. Inflorescences measure 25cm and bear 2-6 scented flowers that each measure c12cm. Plants bloom during the late autumn.
This is a flowering sized plant and is in a pot. Grow Cattleya perrinii in a pot with a fine/medium bark mix. Give plants sufficient air movement, moderate humidity and bright light light all year. Grow in an intermediate to warm greenhouse with night time temperatures of 17- 20 degrees and day time temperatures of 25 to 29 degrees. Plants grow well in a greenhouse but will grow and flower indoors when given optimum conditions, including warmth, humidity and very bright light.
