Description

Coelogyne pandurata is from Peninsula Malaysia, Borneo, Sumatra and the Philippines. In the wild this species grows on lowland trees near water in warm, humid and swampy forest. Inflorescences measure up to 50cm and bear c15 flowers that measure 8-12cm across. The flowers have a scent like honey.

This plant is flowering size and is growing in a pot. Grow Coelogyne pandurata in a pot, or in a basket. Grow plants in moderate light, and never direct sunlight. Plants do not like to dry out and should be given good quality water. This plant grows well in a warm to intermediate greenhouse and appreciates night time temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees and day time temperatures of 26 to 30 degrees. Plants need high humidity making them more amenable for a greenhouse. Plants grow well indoors and will flower if given sufficient light.
