Bulbophyllum sanguineopunctatum is an easy to grow species from Laos and Thailand. This species inhabits evergreen rainforests at elevations around 500 metres. Inflorescences measure 15-20cm and produce many flowers that hang gracefully on a semi-umbel, the flowers measure 5-6cm long.

Bulbophyllum sanguineopunctatum is an easy to grow species from Laos and Thailand. This species inhabits evergreen rainforests at elevations around 500 metres. Inflorescences measure 15-20cm and produce many flowers that hang gracefully on a semi-umbel, the flowers measure 5-6cm long.
This is a flowering size plant and is growing in a pot. Grow Bulbophyllum sanguineopunctatum in a pot with a fine bark and moss media or on a mount, with moderate to deep shade, never in direct or bright sunlight. I never let this plant dry out. This plant grows well in an intermediate to warm greenhouse and appreciates night time temperatures of 17-21 degrees and day time temperatures of 26 to 32 degrees. If growing this species indoors, make sure that there is sufficient air movement, particularly as new growths develop.
