Description

Renanthera vietnamensis is endemic to northern Vietnam close to the Chinese borde. In the wild this species grows as a lithophyte on limestone cliffs. Inflorescence measure 40-50cm, and bear 10-20 flowers that each measure 3-5cm. The flowers usually bloom during the spring.

This is a flowering size plant and is growing in a pot. Grow Renanthera vietnamensis in a pot or on a mount in bright light, never in direct sunlight and keep it evenly watered all year. This plant grows well in an intermediate to warm greenhouse and appreciates night time temperatures of 15- 22 degrees and day time temperatures of 26 to 33 degrees. This species likes a difference between day and night temperature. Plants are better suited for a greenhouse but will grow and potentially flower indoors in a sunny location.
