Description

Ancistrochilus rothschildianus is an easy to grow species from central and west Africa. In the wild this epiphytic species inhabits dense, high rainfall forests at elevations between 500 and 1,100 metres. This species is popular due to the large fragrant flowers in comparison to the size of the plant.

This plant is flowering size and is in a pot. Grow this species on a mount or in a pot with an open and mossy/bark mix media, in moderate shade, and keep it evenly moist. This plant grows well in an intermediate greenhouse and will grow indoors in suitable conditions. This species must have high humidity and air movement to prevent new growths from rotting.
