Stenia calceolaris

Stenia calceolaris is from Ecuador and Peru and is closely related to Pescatorea, Kefersteinia and Huntleya. In the wild this species inhabits wet montane cloud forest at elevations between 2,000 and 2,100 metres. Inflorescences measure 4cm and bear solitary flowers that each measure 2.5cm across. Plants bloom during the winter and into spring.
