This plant is flowering size. Grow Maxillaria striata in a pot with sphagnum moss as the media. Give plants shade with a little light and keep them well watered all year. I grow my plant sitting in a small amount of water. This species is suited to an intermediate to cool greenhouse, temperatures at 12-16 degrees at night and rising to 27-32 during the day. This species benefits from a mister or hydrofogger nearby. If growing this species indoors make sure that there is enough humidity, temperatures are sufficient, and that air circulation is sufficient.
