Description

Trichopilia fragrans is from Ecuador and Peru. In the wild this species inhabits montane forest as an epiphyte or terrestrial at elevations between 1,200 and 2,800 metres. Inflorescences measure 20cm and bear 2-5 flowers that each measure 10cm across. Plants bloom during the winter months.

This plant is flowering size. Grow Trichopilia fragrans in a pot, in shade, never in direct or very bright sunlight and keep it evenly moist all year. This species will grow in an intermediate to cool greenhouse. If growing this species indoors make sure that there is a difference between day and night temperatures and that air circulation is sufficient.
