Inflorescences measure between 15cm and bear several successively flowers with 2-3 open at a time, flowers measure 6-7mm across. Plants bloom during the summer.

Description

Stelis glomerosa is endemic to a small area of Ecuador. This species inhabits wet montane coastal forests at elevations between 1,700 and 2,000 metres. Inflorescences measure between 15cm and bear several successively flowers with 2-3 open at a time, flowers measure 6-7mm across. Plants bloom during the summer.

These are recent divisions from a stock plant. Grow Stelis glomerosa in a pot and use sphagnum moss as a media. Make sure the plant gets sufficient air movement particularly when gown in humidity above 80%; always ensure that humidity is sufficiently high and give the plant moderate shade. Plants need to be grown wet. This plant grows well in an intermediate to cool greenhouse or indoors in suitable conditions, including, a difference between day and night temperature, air movement and sufficient humidity.
