Oncidium tigroides is from Peru. In the wild this species inhabits mountain cloud forest at elevations around 1,800 metres. Inflorescence measures 20cm and bears several scented flowers that each measure 2.5cm across. Plants bloom during the spring.

This plant is flowering size. Grow Oncidium tigroides in a pot with a fine bark media or on a mount, in moderate light, never in direct or bright sunlight and keep it slightly and evenly moist with the roots cool. This plant will grow well in an intermediate greenhouse and indoors only with air circulation and a difference between day and night temperatures (night time temperatures should be 13-16 degrees).
