Description

Oncidium leucochilum is a species found in Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico. This species inhabits seasonal forest as an epiphyte and at circa 2,000 metres. Inflorescences measure 30-70cm and bear many flowers that each measure 3cm across. Plants bloom during spring and the flowers are scented.

This plant is flowering size. Grow Oncidium leucochilum in a pot using a fine bark media, in moderate light, never in direct or bright sunlight and keep it slightly and evenly moist with the roots cool. Ensure the plant is kept slightly drier during the winter months. This plant will grow well in an intermediate or cool greenhouse and indoors only with air circulation and a difference between day and night temperatures (night time temperatures should be 12-16 degrees).
