Masdevallia lehmannii is endemic to Ecuador. In the wild this species inhabits mountain cloud forest and at elevations around 2,000 metres. Inflorescences measure 10cm and bear many flowers that each measure 2cm. Plants bloom during summer.

This plant is flowering size. Grow Masdevallia lehmannii in a small pot with moss, in moderate shade, never in direct sunlight and keep it evenly moist all year. This plant grows well in an intermediate to cool greenhouse and can be grown indoors if air circulation is constant, the humidity is very high, and night time temperatures are low.
