Inflorescences measure 1cm and bear many successively opening flowers that each measure 1cm. Once the plant starts flowering it may be in flower for a very long time. Plants bloom at any time of the year and often when humidity is above a certain percentage.

Description

Lepanthes dodsonii is from Columbia and Ecuador. This species inhabits mountain mossy cloud forest at elevations between 900 and 1,400 metres. Inflorescences measure 1cm and bear many successively opening flowers that each measure 1cm. Once the plant starts flowering it may be in flower for a very long time. Plants bloom at any time of the year and often when humidity is above a certain percentage.

This plant is flowering size. Grow Lepanthes dodsonii on a mount or in a small netted pot. Only grow Lepanthes on a mount if you can guarantee a wet environment with humidity above 80% at all times. Grow this plant in total shade, never in direct sunlight and keep it evenly moist all year. My Lepanthes sit in water. This plant grows well in an intermediate greenhouse, an orchid case, or terrarium. This species is not suitable for growing indoors.
