Description

Lepanthes discolor is from Columbia. This species inhabits mountain cloud forest at elevations around 2,400 metres. Inflorescences measure 2-2.5cm and bear many successively opening flowers, once a plant starts flowering it can be in flower for a very long time. Plants bloom at any time of the year and often when humidity is above a certain percentage.

This plant is flowering size. Grow Lepanthes discolor on a mount or in a small netted pot. Only grow Lepanthes on a mount if you can guarantee a wet environment with humidity above 80% at all times. Grow this plant in total shade, never in direct sunlight and keep it evenly moist all year. My Lepanthes sit in water. This plant grows well in a cool greenhouse, an orchid case, or terrarium. This species is not suitable for growing indoors.
