This plant is flowering size. Grow Lepanthes chelonion on a mount, or in a small pot, and use loosely packed sphagnum moss as a media. Mounted plants must be grown in humidity above 80%, otherwise they will be too dry. Once Lepanthes dry out, it can very difficult to revive them. Make sure plants get sufficient air movement particularly when gown in humidity above 80%; always ensure that humidity is high, even when not mounted, and give plants moderate to deep shade. Plants need to be grown wet; I grow my Lepanthes sitting in water. This species grows well in a cool greenhouse, in a terrarium or indoors only in suitable conditions, including, a difference between day and night temperature, air movement and humidity. Plants are much less likely to survive and flower if grown indoors.
