Dracula felix is from Ecuador and Columbia. This species inhabits montane cloud forest at elevations between 1,200 and 2,500 metres. Inflorescences measure 15-20cm and bear successively opening flowers that each measure 8cm from tail to tail. Plants bloom at any time of the year and when conditions are suitable.
This is a flowering sized plant. Grow Dracula felix in a net or standard pot or basket and use loosely packed sphagnum moss as a media. Make sure plants get sufficient air movement particularly when gown in humidity above 80%; always ensure that humidity is high and give the plant moderate to deep shade. Plants need to be grown wet; I grow my Dracula species sitting in water. This species grows well in an intermediate to cool greenhouse or indoors in suitable conditions, including, a difference between day and night temperature, air movement and humidity.
