Dendrobium palpebrae

Dendrobium palpebrae is from India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand and Laos. This species inhabits sparse and semi deciduous woodland as an epiphyte at elevations between 800 and 2,500 metres. Inflorescences measure 5-15cm, emerge from the upper nodes of leaved canes and bear 5-15 flowers. Plants mostly bloom during the summer.

This plant is flowering size. Grow Dendrobium palpebrae on a mount, in moderate light and evenly watered during the warmer months (growing season) and dry during the winter months. Withhold fertilizer during the resting season and resume when new growths emerge and develop roots. This species requires an intermediate to cool greenhouse and will grow indoors if cool night time temperatures and sufficient humidity are given.
