Cattleya milleri

Cattleya milleri is from Brazil. This species is a lithophyte and grows on exposed iron ore rock amongst dense undergrowth at elevations between 800 1,300 metres. Inflorescences measure 30-50cm, bear several flowers which each measure 4-5cm across. Plant flower during the late spring.

This plant is flowering size. Grow Cattleya milleri in a pot with plenty of gravel in the media, in very bright light and kept it lightly watered year round, the plant itself needs to dry rapidly after watering. Grow plants in an intermediate greenhouse give them cooler temperatures in the winter. Plants will grow indoors under suitable conditions and will only flower if light is bright enough.
