Cattleya gloedeniana is from Brazil. This species is a lithophyte growing on exposed iron ore rock amongst dense undergrowth at elevations of around 1,600 metres. Inflorescences measure 20-40cm, and bear several flowers that each measure 5cm across. The plant flowers during spring.
This plant is flowering size. Grow Cattleya gloedeniana in a pot with plenty of gravel in the media, in very bright light and water it all year, the plant itself needs to dry rapidly after watering. Grow plants in an intermediate greenhouse with cooler temperatures in the winter. Grow indoors in suitable conditions.
