Description

Aerangis kirkii is from eastern and southern Africa. This species is an epiphyte on the branches of small trees in riverine and coastal scrub at elevations below 500 metres. Inflorescences measure c15cm and bear 2-5 flowers. Plants blooms during the summer and the flowers are scented at dusk.

This plant is 1 year from flowering size and is on a mount. Grow Aerangis kirkii on a mount in dense shade, never in bright light and keep it slightly and evenly moist all year. This species does not like to dehydrate. Grows in an intermediate or warm greenhouse and indoors if sufficient humidity and air movement are provided.
